Welcome to the website of James Bingham!

James holds a first class BMus degree in Music from the University of Sheffield and is coming to the end of his studies at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on the MA Choral Conducting course under the tuition of Neil Ferris and Sarah Tenant-Flowers. He is an assistant conductor for the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain, Musical Director of the Cavatina Singers in Penarth, Director of Music at St Peter’s Church in Dinas Powys and Team Captain for Only Boys Aloud in Cardiff.

James’s unorthodox musical training began as a rock singer, fronting various bands in various venues across Manchester. It wasn’t until his late teens that James gained an interest in classical music. James has a particular interest in promoting the inclusion and accessibility of classical music. He believes that classical music has just as much relevancy to today’s society as any other genre of music and hopes to devote his career to breaking down the divisions between classical music and popular music genres.
